Singapore Oceanarium Conservation Programme

At Singapore Oceanarium, we are committed to the conservation and preservation of our marine world, including its biodiversity. It is for this reason that the Singapore Oceanarium Conservation Programme was conceived – to support like-minded individuals and organisations working towards a common goal.

The programme provides financial support to a broad range of aquatic initiatives including Conservation Projects, Conservation Research, Outreach and Education Programmes, plus Events and Conferences. If your passion for the seas runs deep, and if you have ideas that can be turned into measurable outcomes, we would like to hear from you.

Because together, we can preserve a healthy and thriving ocean for generations to come.

Types of Initiatives

Coral frames for restoration by Coralku.

Conservation Projects

These should directly improve the health of aquatic ecosystems through practical, on-the-ground actions like restoring degraded habitats, safeguarding or recovering threatened species, or addressing environmental threats.

Conservation Research

Driven by well-defined questions or hypotheses, and conducted with rigorous scientific methods, research should focus on generating new scientific knowledge to strengthen decision-making in conservation.

outreach and education programmes

Outreach and Education Programmes

Programmes should translate scientific knowledge into engaging conservation messages that inspire audiences of all ages, resulting in a more informed, caring and engaged public towards ocean health.
