At the Singapore Oceanarium, we strive to provide a platform for individuals and communities of all ages and backgrounds to play their part in marine research, outreach and conservation.
Check out our volunteer programmes below to find out how you can volunteer with us!
The docent programme aims to bring passionate individuals to deliver fun, educational messages on marine life by volunteering in the aquarium.
By engaging and interacting with visitors around the Singapore Oceanarium, docents can learn more about marine biodiversity and contribute to a greater awareness of our oceans while honing their public speaking and presentation skills!
Ocean Advocates conducts coastal cleanups (beach, mangrove, kayak and dive) that aim to raise awareness of marine pollution issues in Singapore and encourage environmental stewardship in our team members and volunteers.
The Citizen Science Programme serves as a platform for members of the public to get involved in conservation efforts through scientific surveys and data collection. Training will be provided and data collected will be used for long-term conservation planning.
Our citizen science programmes include surveying intertidal zones, corals, turtles and horseshoe crabs!
