Children's Biodiversity Library

Singapore's first marine biodiversity-themed learning space for children in a public library, the Children's Biodiversity Library by Singapore Oceanarium is a partnership between National Library Board (NLB) and Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). Embark on an exciting voyage of discovery through a diverse range of engaging and interactive features, as well as monthly programmes led by trained volunteers to learn more about marine habitats and marine life.

The Children’s Biodiversity Library is located at Central Public Library, B1 of National Library Building (100 Victoria Street). Entry to the library and participation in the programmes on offer are free of charge.

Children Programmes

Ocean ArtVentures

4 April, 2pm - 3pm

For Ocean ArtVentures, participants (4 - 12 years old) will get to learn about some fun facts of various marine animals, their body parts, and have fun folding paper origami of some of these animals! 

Marine Mimicry Mystery

2 May, 11am - 12pm

For Marine Mimicry Mystery, participants (4 to 12 years old) will learn more about how animals are classified according to their various groups, as well as various characteristics and behaviours of each of these animals. The participants will play a game of charades with the rest of the group and work in groups to create their very own hybrid animal!
